Westergren ESR Determination Tubes and Kits are designed for blood testing of erythrocyte sedimentation rates or ESR. ESR is the sediumentation rate of blood cells within a one-hour period of testing. The Westergren ESR test is a measurement of inflammation and is one of the most common blood test known in hematology. The Westergren ESR Test is performed by inserting anti-coagulated blood in to the Westergren ESR tube and then the rate at which red blood cells fall (or sediment) is measured and recorded in millimeters per hour.
